You may have a new home, or one in which you don't use certain rooms - such as - a living room or dining room, because you implement those functions in a family room setting. The "Phantom room" is a problem that a designer can help you reclaim or create for the first time. The most important thing is to decide how you would like to use the room. Some famous designers and architects have followed the golden design rule that “Form follows function”. I am a true believer in that, and it has solved many problems in the living spaces of my clients.
After you know what you would like to do in that room, It opens up all the possibilities for extra living space. One of my clients turned their dining room into a wine room and lounge. A living room became a playroom for a stay at home mom. In the above picture this artist has a contemporary L shaped room without a good living room space or dining room. We turned this space into a multi purpose room that she could have as a dining/library/office space. This was possible because she has a family room already.
Once we have the function we can help you create that amazing room with color, flooring, furnishings, accents and window fashions with visuals.
